Stunning piece of genuine 1920s American art glass: an antique stretch glass console bowl produced by the renowned H. Northwood & Company in their iconic No. 659 mold.
This striking center table piece features a wide, dramatic flat-rolled rim over a deep, clean basin, resting on a beautifully fire-polished collar base ring. The color is Northwood's scarce "Russet," which displays a luminous, translucent yellow-green amber hue. The surface boasts an exquisite metallic iridescent finish with the highly characteristic fine "onion-skin" or crackled stretch texture visible along the wide flared edge where the glass expanded during firing.
